Mentoring Program for
Youth and Teens

Welcome to Always Building Character, a dedicated mentoring program designed to support youth and teens in overcoming Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where young individuals can thrive, build resilience, and unlock their full potential.

What are Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)?

ACEs are potentially traumatic events that occur in childhood (0-17 years) such as abuse, neglect, or household dysfunction. These experiences can have long-lasting effects on a child's health, behavior, and life opportunities. Through targeted interventions and support, our program aims to mitigate these effects and foster resilience.

Our Approach

Always Building Character employs a comprehensive, trauma-informed approach to mentoring. Our program includes:

  1. Individualized Mentorship: Each participant is matched with a trained mentor who provides personalized guidance, support, and encouragement.

  2. Skill Development Workshops: We offer workshops on life skills, emotional regulation, academic support, and career planning to equip participants with the tools they need for success.

  3. Community Engagement: We facilitate opportunities for participants to engage in community service and extracurricular activities, helping them build a sense of belonging and purpose.

  4. Family Support: Recognizing the crucial role of family, we offer resources and workshops for parents and guardians to create a supportive home environment.
