How ABC combats ACE’s
Our mission is to reduce the impact of ACEs by building resilience, promoting healing, and creating opportunities for all to thrive—regardless of their background or circumstances
What We Do:
1. Trauma-Informed Programming
We embed trauma-informed practices in every program we offer—from after-school enrichment to mentorship and family support. Our staff are trained to recognize signs of trauma and respond with empathy and care.
2. Safe Spaces for Growth
We create consistent, nurturing environments where children feel seen, heard, and valued. Whether it's a basketball court, a classroom, or a community center, our spaces are built for healing and connection.
3. SEL and Life Skills Development
Our Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum helps children build critical skills like self-awareness, emotional regulation, and empathy—empowering them to navigate life with confidence and resilience.
4. Supporting Families and Caregivers
We believe that healing is a family journey. Through workshops, counseling referrals, and community partnerships, we provide tools and support systems for caregivers to nurture emotionally healthy homes.
5. Community Collaboration
We work hand-in-hand with schools, local organizations, and mental health professionals to build a holistic safety net around the children we serve—ensuring no one falls through the cracks.
